UK Authority Contact & Compliance Advisor

We are currently recruiting for an UK Authority Contact & Compliance Advisor on behalf of our client. This is a 12 month maternity cover role based in Westhill.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of compliance with company Offshores’ HSEQ systems and procedures for the region.
Liaise with relevant regulatory bodies for offshore activities in close collaboration with Asset Managers and regional HSEQ & Compliance Lead to ensure that all units maintain a valid license to operate
Responsible for monitoring implementation of the management system on the UKCS and for assisting and facilitating operations so that all units on the UKCS maintain a valid license to operate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be focal point for communications with authorities, especially for non-asset specific communication.
Assist in resolving issues, in cooperation with Asset Managers and UK HSEQ & Compliance Lead.
Keep up to date with relevant UK HSEQ legislation
Monitor and ensure compliance with UKCS regulations
Liaise closely with the Profession Lead QA & Compliance in establishing and maintaining a correlation matrix between UKCS legislation and the TOP management system
Identify and communicate changes to regulations. Support implementation of changes required for management system to be compliant on- and offshore
Assist in maintaining and implementing procedures on- and offshore
Liaise closely with the Profession Lead QA & Compliance in establishing the annual audit program and for continually improving the audit scheme in TOP
Ensure internal and external audits are carried out according to the annual audit program
Coordinate audits by authorities and ensure follow up by asset team in a timely manner
Trend audit findings and assist in root cause identification in the region and propose mitigating actions
Ensure learnings from audits are followed up across assets as relevant. Liaise with similar roles in TOP
Work closely with the global HSEQ team and Asset Managers on compliance issues

Requirements (Qualifications/Training/Skills):
Qualification as Lead Auditor
Qualification as Lead Investigator
In depth knowledge and experience with UKCS regulations
Engineering degree
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Strong team player who is also capable of producing quality work on an individual basis
