COMMERCIAL ANALYST (1 YEAR PAYE CONTRACT ROLE - MATERNITY COVER)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Head of Operational Performance & Strategy (HOPS), the Commercial Analyst will play an integral role in providing commercial support whilst supporting the business processes and deliverables for which the HOPS is responsible. This role will manage standard commercial agreements, such as proximity agreements, and collaborate with the commercial advisor and coordinator to ensure effective daily administration of contractual and regulatory whilst helping to support the management of Joint Venture Partners and ensure compliance with Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements. They will also work closely with the business analyst to support the business planning cycle and prepare scoping economics for investment decision.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and serve as the primary contact for standard commercial agreements, such as proximity agreements.

Assist with any activities required to support the timely and efficient performance of any compliance obligations required to support any of our assets relating to the operation, transportation and processing of production and manage these alongside the Commercial Administrator and Commercial Advisor.

Provide comprehensive commercial support to the Asset Managers, including helping to manage and JV-related issues as they arise.

Support Business planning cycle with integration of inputs to annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts and co-ordination of production submissions.

Ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date and appraised of key dates/activities i.e., annual shutdown plans.

Support OCM’s.

Prepare scoping economics for investment decisions.

Manage tariff models.

Help support the collating and co-ordinating quarterly OFAC returns and the continuing development of processes and procedures to support this.

Provide support for ad hoc requests to assist in managing asset performance and executing strategy.

PROFESSIONAL AND BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS, EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Skilled in standard business software and IT systems, particularly Excel.

Good overall understanding of data handling.

Experience in a similar role.

Commercial Agreement exposure/knowledge.
