HSEQ Advisor

Based in Banff with opportunity to work remotely 2-3 days per week

37.5 hours per week

Some requirement to travel to Norway and other Group locations


Reporting into the Group HSEQ/HR Manager, the HSEQ Advisor will be responsible for (not limited to):

Providing health, safety, environmental and quality assurance support and advice to all areas of the business particularly at the Banff facility

Supporting, maintaining and monitoring the company HSEQ Management Systems in all locations to ensure compliance with local legislation and certification 45001:2018, 9001:2015 and 14001.Supporting, maintaining and monitoring other certifications held by the Group such as DNV, LEEA, etc.

Assisting international areas of the business and other departments in providing relevant HSEQ advice and support and the development and implementation of documentation and procedures ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards and legislation

Create, participate and conduct HSEQ Training with Managers, Supervisors and the workforce

Undertake HSEQ inductions with new starts and visitors

Compliance with and monitoring of the HSEQ Plan

Perform internal and external HSEQ audits inline with audit schedule

Perform and document Emergency Response Exercises

Perform on and offsite HSEQ Tours and behavioural audits

Investigation of and report development for NCRs and Lessons Learned

Investigation of and report development for HSE Incidents and Near Misses

Carrying out analysis of data and identifying potential trends and implementing mitigation measures.

Undertaking risk assessments and development of work methods and procedures

Document Control

Ensuring the Action Tracking Register remains up to date

Preparation and monitoring of HSEQ Statistics

Management of the company certification database for training records, health surveillance records and planned preventive maintenance records of equipment.

Evaluating and monitoring External Providers and Subcontractors

Adhering to the Management of Change Process

Quality Planning

Required skills / knowledge:

NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma

Internal Auditing Qualification - preferably in 45001:2018 or 9001:2015

Should hold a recognised Quality Assurance Qualification or be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a Quality Assurance role.

Must have previous experience of working in a HSEQ role preferably in Manufacturing or oil and gas service industry

Be willing to be “hands on”, flexible and regularly onsite to provide HSEQ support to operations

Must have a good knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation and certification including (9001, 14001 and 45001)

Must be able to drive, have their own car and hold a clean valid driving license.

Capacity to multi-task in an organised approach and ability to deal with fast moving projects

Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to foster effective working relationships with Management, colleagues and 3rd parties

Good report writing skills
